Client Requirement

Our client required digital e-health products that are available to all patients, irrespective of age, digital skills, or disabilities. The pharmaceutical company aimed to have healthcare digital products that were accessible to older adults and people with disabilities. This implies that there should be accessibility in every part of healthcare, such as appointment systems, electronic bills, and account information, among others.

Solution We Provide

Most patients, especially those who have disabilities, may not be familiar with technology; hence, we have developed this pharmacy application to meet their needs. To have an accessible application, it is necessary that it function appropriately for persons who have hearing or vision impairments and who have tremors and are thus unable to use a keyboard or mouse but instead utilize voice commands. The application should provide information in various formats, including navigational options using either a keyboard, speech, or even gestures, offer clearly readable texts, and also be compatible with up-to-date browsers and technologies.

Outcome

At the time of composing this case study, the application was in the development stage. However, available objectives were determined upfront, and we are currently on our way to achieving these objectives: streamlining pharmaceutical services through process automation, reducing the required time to switch between pharmacies, making it quick and easy to find and access pharmacies, providing fast and simple access to data, ensuring a secure and efficient payment process, and using atomic design principles.
